The MC7905CTG is a low dropout fixed output Negative Voltage Regulator with an LDO regulator case. The same seven-voltage and in addition one extra voltage option is commonly employed in MECL systems. This regulator employs current limiting, thermal shutdown, and safe-area compensation – making them remarkably rugged under most operating conditions. With adequate heat-sinking, it can deliver output currents over 1A.
