This is the additional focus that can be added to your night vision surveillance camera project using Raspberry Pi.

The Night Vision Sensitive Infrared Light 3W for Raspberry Pi Camera features the Onboard photoresistor for the ambient light detection. Also, the Onboard adjustable resistor controls the ambient light threshold of toggling the infrared LED.

This tiny infrared light perfectly fits with our Infrared IR Night Vision Surveillance Camera Module 500W Webcam.

How to Use :

1. Connect the Infrared LED Board to the camera PCB by screws.
2. The screw holes are used for both attachment and power supply.
3. Adjust the adjustable resistor to set a proper ambient light threshold, which toggles the infrared LED automatically.
4. When ambient light is lower than the threshold value, the infrared LED is on, vice versa.

Note :

1st    – The 3W high-power infrared LED might cause the Pi to increase heating, heat sinks are suggested.
2nd  –  Ideal imaging distance is within 3m. When the distance goes up to 6m, the night vision camera can just capture blurry outlines.

    works very well SKU: 130221

It takes power straight from the board.
    No need for external power.

Product get heated up , kindly make cooling adjustments appropriately.

I can see up to 6-7 metres clearly with the Night vision system.

I have not tried out beyond that.

The product as such is good. It works very well with the pi noir camera(power has to be given separately from the gpio).
Do not try to adjust the potentiometer to vary daytime illumination. It usually wrecks the light.
The light does get pretty hot upon continuous usage.
I would like to suggest Robu.in team to try and make heatsinks available for these lights.
