The Brand New Raspberry Pi Zero Wireless WH (with Pre-Soldered Header) has landed at ModMyPi! The Raspberry Pi Zero is an ultra-low-cost and ultra-small variant of the original Raspberry Pi. It’s tiny, measuring just 65mm x 30mm, and is perfectly designed for embedded applications, wearables, prototyping and any other Pi-based tinkering you can think of, on a micro scale! The Raspberry Pi Zero Wireless features onboard Wireless Internet & Bluetooth for all your connectivity needs!
The Raspberry Pi Zero features a BCM2835 chipset, overclocked to 1Ghz with 512MB RAM, and the same 1080p video output, so there’s plenty of oomph in that little board. It also features the same 40 pin GPIO layout as the Raspberry Pi 2/B+/A+, which you’ll need to solder your own headers too. With its small form factor and reduction in connectors, the Raspberry Pi Zero only uses ~ 140mA at 5V!
Unlike it’s larger brothers and sisters, the Raspberry Pi Zero has an unpopulated GPIO, unpopulated composite (RCA) header and an unpopulated reset header. There’s also no DSI screen port, no ethernet, no analog audio and no full-sized USB ports. Instead, the Pi Zero features a micro-USB power port, a micro USB OTG host port (for peripherals e.g. WiFi dongle), and a mini HDMI port for video.
It’s perfect for everyone who doesn’t own a soldering iron or who wants the soldering legwork done for them.

What can you do with the Zero WH.!
What can’t you do? Am I right?! The small size of the Zero W makes it perfect for projects with minimal wiggle-room. In such projects, some people have no need for GPIO pins — they simply solder directly to the board. However, there are many instances where you do want a header on your Zero W, for example in order to easily take advantage of the GPIO expander tool for Debian Stretch on a PC or Mac
HAT Compatibility Note: The Pi Zero is fully compatible with all HAT breakout boards, as it features the same 40 Pin GPIO as the Raspberry Pi 2/B+/A+
Note: For the full functionality you need the newest software, to find on www.raspberrypi.org

I bought three more raspberry pi zero w. I wanted one without headers but Robu did not have that. So I had to buy one with the headers and pay 200 Rs more – buy product was shipped on time and arrived with good packing. The two units out of the 3 are working fine and I use it for a DIY project with free downloaded code from GitHub. The third unit is acting up a bit. The problem is intermittent and not sure what is causing it. I hope it is nothing inherent in the board. Anyway if you are considering purchase – do go ahead and pi is a good brand. Do shop around for the best price. And for case – you should consider using the cover case of sunglasses or even a small soap dish. Why pay mucho bucks for a branded case when it is just a piece of plastics.

Product was received in good shape and promptly. I have used it in my video camera project with motioneyeos (free download). Everything worked out ok. I did find that the price I paid was a bit on the higher side – so go for the Pi Zero W but do shop around to find a good price.
